Should I have a colour scheme?
A colour scheme for your wedding is important but not crutial as you could decide to stick with a very neutral colour palette i.e. whites or creams. However if you are looking to inject a bit of colour into your wedding choose your colours very carefully!
What colours should I choose?
Seasonal colours:
Many brides are influenced by their favourite colours or the season in which they are getting married. Be careful not to go overboard and choose loads of colours. Just use one or two colours and use them cleverly throughout.
If executed well, then any colour will work on your wedding day, no matter what season it falls in, however there are a choice of traditional colours that fit with certain seasons.
At a winter wedding deep tones of red and green work well. Silver or Gold are also popular choices. You could choose red and gold or green and silver for example.![]()
Summer weddings can bring out your exotic side with pink, orange, blue, green.
or an autumn weddings reds and oranges, and chocolate brown are great!
Take time choosing your colours and make sure that shades match. It will really make a difference on the day as everything will look perfectly coordinated and can create a great atmosphere!
