Burnley is a large market town in the borough of Burnley in Lancashire, England. It is east of Blackburn and 25 miles (40 km) east of Preston.
The town lies in a natural three-forked valley at the confluence of the River Brun and the River Calder, surrounded by open fields and moorland. There are several large parks in the town, including Towneley Park which surrounds Towneley Hall and Queens Park, which hosts a summer season of brass band concerts each year, and Thompson Park, which has a boating lake and miniature railway
Towneley Hall is not the only impressive histroical wedding venue that Burnley has to offer. Gawthorpe Hall makes an stunning setting, as although currently closed for refurbishment, it will be re-opening shortly to offer you the best of wedding locations.
