where are we?
Liverpool is famed for its music, sport and nightlife, plus it is a city with a rich cultural heritage and is blessed with a considerable variety of architectural styles, much of which has been restored
to a high standard in recent years.
Liverpool’s status as a port city has contributed to Liverpool’s diverse population, which draws from a wide range of peoples, cultures, and religions, particularly those from Ireland.
The popularity of The Beatles and the other groups from the Merseybeat era contributes to Liverpool’s status as a tourist destination; tourism forms a significant part of the city’s modern economy. In 2007 the city celebrated its 800th anniversary, and in 2008 it held the European Capital of Culture title.
This rise in tourism has encouraged the opening and restoration of various new hotels and wedding venues, including the Hard Days Night Hotel, Sefton Park Palm House, Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Stanley Park, and at 40 storeys high, the luxury Panoramic Restaurant.
Plus, with the famous Pier Head Waterfront being a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004, Liverpool really does make the perfect back drop to your wedding celebrations. The Atlantic Tower Hotel prides itself on it's three graces backdrop, and is designed to resemble the prow of a ship to reflect Liverpool’s maritime history.

Crowne Plaza Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Getting Around
Getting in and out of Liverpool is easy, with Liverpool Lime Street station which is located in the heart of the city centre as is the terminus for many national lines and the local City line to Manchester.
Local trains run very frequently between Liverpool Central and Moorfields, to Hunts Cross, Kirkby, Ormskirk and Southport on the Northern line. The Wirral line forms the link to Chester and the Wirral.
Liverpool City Centre is small enough to walk around, but black cabs are plentiful if you are wearing your highest formal heels! Buses run out from the centre regularly from Paradise Street Interchange (mainly to the south) and Queen Square (mainly north/east).
